Based in Atlanta, Georgia, DMF is the leading manufacturer and supplier of hi-rail equipment used to build and maintain the lifeline of the railroad. DMF began in 1972 as a family owned business and has continued to operate leading the railgear industry.

DMF is a customer-driven company which designs custom products to help their clients meet special needs. One of those products is DMF’s RW-1630 rail guidewheels which make it easy for crews to get on and off the railroad track at a crossing.

Always looking for ways to improve its products and develop more custom applications, DMF utilizes the most advanced computers, robotics and equipment. It’s the highly skilled team of engineers, installers, machinists, welders and sales support professionals that make the DMF Difference!

DMF has supplied every Class 1 railroad in the United States with equipment, and is the supplier of choice for many of the major carriers, short line railroads, railroad contractors, and urban commuter transit systems. DMF also serves customers in Canada and Mexico.

How does a woman lead a manufacturing company while creating a competitive edge in an era of outsourcing? Perseverance.

Diversified Metal Fabricators has managed to not only sustain but also grow while sourcing American-made parts and manufacturing in-house under the leadership of President Danielle Brooks.

Danielle has spent most of her life learning, living and building the DMF standard. From age five, learning the ABCs while filing invoices, to traveling with her father at age 8, she saw firsthand what customer service looks like while learning the railroad industry. After graduating from college, she carved her own way by applying her accounting degree, away from DMF. Her passion, though, brought her back to DMF.
